Cairns Music Industry Gathering (CMIG) brings together artists, industry professionals, venues, festivals, producers, technicians, educators, policymakers, and music organisations to connect, collaborate and share ideas. Through inspiring conversations, practical workshops, live showcases and meaningful networking opportunities, the Gathering aims to strengthen regional music communities, build industry capability and create new pathways for sustainable careers and a thriving live music sector.
Building on the findings of the Cairns Live Music Framework Consultation and associated outcomes, CMIG 2026 is a platform to discuss priorities, strengthen partnerships and help shape the future of live music in the region.
