Persona: Contemporary Veteran Artists is a photography portrait project highlighting the value of veteran artists while challenging perceptions.
Persona is a commemorative project featuring the cultural and creative engagements of Australian contemporary veteran artists. Through a chance meeting in 2017, Australian National Veterans Arts Museum (ANVAM) founder Tanja Johnston and photographer Michael Christofas, combined their interests to showcase who veteran artists are with Persona.
Persona honours contemporary Australian service personnel in the arts community. It provides an insight into the creative personas of current and veteran artists.
Persona is evolving as an enduring project showcasing the veteran arts community as part of the broader Australian community.
As a veteran-led charity, ANVAM's purpose is to enhance the mental, physical and social wellbeing of the veteran community through arts engagements.
