Pete Marshall, BVSc, SAA, AFC, AGRA - Birds of Cattana

Sun 19 Aug - Sun 30 Sep

Pete Marshall, an internationally recognised artist specialising in wildlife subjects, is currently undertaking a residency with Tanks Arts Centre, documenting the bird life of Cattana Wetlands.

Cattana wetlands have local, national and international importance for migratory birds, with much material to be gathered for artistic inspiration, both from the environmental perspective and from its avian inhabitants.

Pete has travelled to remote and wild places around the world researching material for her work which include mainly paintings in pastel, also includes graphite, coloured pencil, ink, charcoal, acrylic and oil.

During her residency, Pete is also offering a free course of field trips and workshops in wildlife art making. The field trips will discuss inspiration gained from the environment and inhabitants together with research material to enable participants develop their concepts and ideas in the workshops which will follow.

Numbers are strictly limited, so early birds should fly in fast to register.
