Zennith Soundsystem

Sat 18 Jul

with Kaweyova

Hailing from the deep scrub of Bulwai Country in Kuranda, Zennith Soundsystem combine a solid mix of roots, rock, reggae, and funky hip-hop to create seriously big sounds.

Astro and Aden Brim, present the Zennith sound in a Jamaican Soundsystem DJ style. Along with their latest track, Ancient Warrior, recorded in the legendary Tuff Gong Studios, are all the local favourites; I like it, Kuranda Reggae, Poet a Rhymer, Jam All Night.

Having collaborated with some world-class reggae icons and played some of the southern hemisphere’s largest festivals such as Byron Bay Bluesfest, Woodford Folk Festival and Splendour in the Grass, Zennith’s message of understanding, empathy, culture and reconciliation is reverberating throughout the Australian Music Industry and they are quickly becoming a household name.

Kaweyova, aka Samantha Clark, expertly blends acoustic elements of pop, reggae, soul and RnB to animate her sweep-you-off-your-feet vocal style, perfected through singing traditional island songs from her homelands in the Trobriand Islands of Papua New Guinea. Experience Kaweyova as a trio for this special Tanks appearance.

This event will follow Queensland Government Stage 3 Covid Guidelines and the approved Covid Safe Industry Plan. Queensland Live Performance, Venues/Theatres
