With John Buttigieg
Jeremiah is undeniably one of Australia's hardest working troubadours – an indelible, lofty acoustic guitar driven songwriter with detailed lyrics, memorable stories and noteworthy guitar playing.
Currently touring his fifth studio release, ‘Stasis’, in a bus, accompanied by his wife and young son, Jeremiah has played in over 120 small towns, in every state in Australia. From modest size market stages, venues and bars to support shows in front of thousands at huge festivals such as Blues Train Brisbane, Adelaide Fringe and Cairns Festival. In Jeremiah, we find an artist at craft, an endemic Australian songwriter, a quiet achiever and poetic comrade to the arts.
Jeremiah’s live shows have included sharing stages with the likes of Angus and Julia Stone, Gomez, The Waifs, Thelma Plum, Justin Townes Earle, Donovan Frankenreiter, Harry Manx, The Basics and more.
Music by his own definition is "painting invisible pictures using sound". A man not overly romanced by the fame of others but more so inspired by the success of great musicians like Jeff Lang, Steve Kilbey, Bruce Cockburn, Paul Westerburg, Harry Manx, Paul Dempsey, Jeff Tweedy and others who have mastered their song craft and instruments. You will love this man. Like we all do.
Experimental solo finger-style guitar player, John Buttigieg, has been playing since the age of 10. Discovering new sounds, open tunings and unique ways of playing the guitar.
