With Jelly Oshen
Known for her unflinching honesty, exquisite voice and instantly relatable songwriting, Greta Stanley is one of Far North Queensland’s most prominent young stars.
2019 saw the release of Greta’s six song EP ‘Sun In My Eyes’, her most popular and well received offering to date. Aided by longtime producer Mark Myers (The Middle East, Emma Louise), this time with help from Tristan Barton, the soundscapes here are cinematic, nuanced and immaculate. It features triple j rotation singles ‘Kick’ and ‘Come Undone’, as well as acclaimed opening cut ‘Pour’, which has hit one million streams and boasts an award-winning accompanying video starring comedian/writer Matt Okine.
Her most striking single to date, ‘Soak Into This’, was released earlier this year and added straight to triple j rotation. Co-written by internationally renowned songwriter Tobias Kuhn, (Milky Chance, Dean Lewis, The Living End), the track marks the beginning of their songwriting partnership.
Greta’s live shows have included sharing stages with the likes of The Rubens, Ziggy Alberts, Boy & Bear, Newton Falkner, Emma Louise, Tash Sultana, Sarah Blasko and Didirri, along with appearances at Groovin’ The Moo, Australian Music Week, The Big Pineapple Festival, BIGSOUND, Porchland, and Pineapple Fields.
In the lead up to the release of his debut album, Far North Queensland’s Jelly Oshen has punched out a bunch of charming singles featuring his special kind of funk / reggae with a pinch of jazz - we can’t wait to see what this crooner serves up next! Experience his soulful performance live and in the flesh.
