With nothing but beats, rhythms and good vibes, Byron Bay ukulele strummer, drummer and singer, Bobby Alu, is hitting the road in celebration of his third album 'Flow', and he’s stopping in at Tanks to share the love.
Marking the first headline tour since the release of the record, this comes at the end of a huge 2019 for the tropical ambassador who has won over new fans at home and abroad in 2019 alongside mates Busby Marou and Xavier Rudd. Gaining a Double J feature album spot on release, 'Flow' quickly entered the AIR Independent album charts and peaked at #1 on both the 100% Independent Albums Chart and Independent Labels Chart.
For Bobby Alu fans, if you know, you know. There's no limit to the pure joy on faces whenever he takes to the stage. Moving from delicate ukulele reflections to full throttle drumming and dancing, family and connection is at the core of Bobby's music. If you want to feel good in your heart, grab a mate, your mum, your grandpa, and join in the national celebration of 'Flow'.
"Whether you’re on, near, or simply pining for a body of water and a calmer frame of mind, Bobby’s brand of coastal folk will take you there. It takes a lot of skill to make something this good sound so effortless." Dorothy Markek / Double J
